I’ve spent today doing a development panel at work. It’s not to get a promotion but rather to see where you are and how the senior managers might help you.
I’m sat here just reflecting on the afternoon of grilling. Did I do ok? I dunno maybe a bit of a mixed bag, I made some cool leaflets and drew a cool poster so…who I am definitely came across but one question has made me seriously ponder.
I got asked what do you think stopped you for doing that? The honest and the real answer, which I gave, was believing in myself and confidence.
That is mad isn’t it?! I’m a 35 year old woman with a long career in my job and what’s stopping me is believing in myself 😲
Well that’s definitely gonna change. I’ve been a bit more ballsy in my personal life recently booking Borneo, I’m joining some lovely ladies on a Bivi night next week and my challenge is underway.
So being the “nip this is the bud” person I am I listened to this ted talk
